Assessment and Moderation is carried out by Sakhisisizwe Projects as accredited by the quality assurance system set up by the SAQA in terms of the SAQA Act (No 58 of 1995) and in terms of the Education and Training Quality Assurance body (ETQA) Regulations (ETQA Regulations, No. R.1127 of 1998).
2Assessment and Moderation
A series of developmental activities are conducted during training to assist learners in preparing for final assessment. In order to gain credits for each unit standard learners are required to prove their competency in relation to the outcomes of each unit standard. Assessment is the process of measuring the achievement of the learner against specified National Qualification Framework (NQF) standards. Assessment assists at determining a learner's competency and ability to apply what they have learnt in training. All assessments are conducted according to the relevant unit standard outcomes.
The modules covered in this programme articulate Horizontally with the National Certificate in New Venture Creation: Level 4 and the National Certificate in Business Administration Services: Level 4. The modules articulate Vertically with the National Certificate in Management: Level 4.
Learners should be competent in Communication and Mathematical Literacy at NQF Level 1. If students do not have any previous qualification they are able to complete recognition of prior learning subject to quality assurance by the relevant ETQA or an ETQA that has a Memorandum of Understanding with the relevant ETQA. If required a Recognition of Prior Learning can be completed by means of an Integrated Assessment.
